Peace Corps!

I'm setting this up as my Peace Corps blog: today is the day I received my first nomination letter from Rebi, offering me the Caucasus, Central Asia (oh no! not Chechnya!) or the Pacific Islands. It's November 24, 2009, for the record. Ever cautious, I've asked for info as to which country or nation... The other good news is that the deployments are in either September or October 2010 - plenty of time to wrap my mind around this fantasy rapidly threatening to become reality - trepidatious flutterings at the thought, but also excitement!

Well - I finally figured out how to get back into Sundial and post. Must rush off now, but will be back to post!

It's a snow day - time to browse, sleep in, watch the occasional car make its way down the street below, wind twisting the trees, sleet clattering on the windowpane, work sitting waiting on the table in the corner... What better time to start a blog?
